- New build and extension footings up to DPC (Damp Proof Course). This involves stripping the topsoil off the site, digging the footing to building control specification, ie. the depth. Once that has been passed, we can then concrete the footing, lay the blocks up to DPC and lay any internal drainage and ducting for services if necessary. The building inspector will have to check the drainage before it gets backfilled.
The next thing to do is stone up the oversite, compact and blind with sand (if necessary) to protect the damp proof membrane which will be laid on the stone. On top of that goes the insulation and normally 100mm/four inches of concrete to the finished floor level. This is the standard way of building regulations but depending on ground conditions and design of building, it can differ from house to house.
- Generally when doing a driveway, you will need an edge to finish to. There are alot of different designs of kerbing to form the edge of a drive or footpath which will match different finishes on the drive. We can supply you a variety of kerbs to match your specific needs. Driveways also come in different specs depending on the finish you want and whether the drive is tarmac, block paving or gravel. All people have different tastes and ideas as to what they prefer. There are also different factors to take into account when installing kerbs and driveways and that is the amount of weight traveling over it as there are different depths to work to. This ensures we provide a solid base which will not sink over time.
- We can install the drainage needed for new build also if there is drainage needing to be renewed on existing systems. On a new build site, the drainage will have to be inspected by Building Control before it is backfilled. The pipe is surrounded with at least 100mm or four inches of pipe-bedding to stop it from getting crushed. We can also supply and fit water treatment plants of many sizes from a single house hold to an entire hotel.
- We can supply concrete slabs for many uses from shed bases, driveways, barns and many other ways clients want to use concrete. The strength and thickness of the concrete to be laid will be determined by the reason for use.

- Patios and slab laying are normally a carry-on from the new build or extension to finish of the landscaping around the new building. In addition, we will lay one-off patios that customers want when moving into a new home or just want a fresh look for their garden.

- Machine work covers a large scope of work from re-landscaping your garden, digging or clearing out ponds, lakes or ditches or any other soilworks where machinery is needed.
